Hi - Leeds fan in peace. Obviously last night's result was a shocker for your lads but it made me wonder whether there's any point in the Carling Cup anymore? Obviously the really big teams haven't taken it seriously for years and now it seems that not many Premier League teams play full strength teams for the matches. Even we rested some of our players last night.

So, would you rather you had put out a full strength side last night or are you not bothered about the CC?

Best of luck against Chelsea this weekend and hope you stay up this season.

PL survival is top priority by a country mile. Although last night was a bad result and the performance was poor it will hopefully give the players involved a gentle reminder (or kick up the arse).

As fans I am sure we would rather see us stay up and get dumped out of the Carling Cup early on than to repeat what happened in the mid 80's when we won the cup but got relegated!

i'd like to see the Carling cup restricted to Championship, L1 and L2 only, or at least try it for one season and see what happens. this might spice it up a bit. Even the FA cup sees most PL and championship playing second string teams in the early rounds.

or have the draw and for each PL team include the word reserves after the name.
