I am of the opinion that these players are not good enough and should not be seen in a Sunderland shirt ever again, I dont care how well they have played at the clubs loaned too.

However, this is now a crisis with regards to the size of our squad and we should recall them to give us numbers and options. Both to be sold in the summer though, we could not push on as a club by continuing to have players of this standard in our squad.

Loanee helps Hull seal promotion from the Championship.
Ahmed Elmohamady finished his loan spell with Hull City in fine fashion over the weekend as the Tigers secured a nail-biting return to the Barclays Premier League with a 2-2 draw with Championship winners Cardiff City.

The Egyptian international was prominent in the celebrations for Steve Bruce’s side as Hull had to endure a nervy 15 minutes as they awaited the finish of Watford’s game with Leeds.

Tigers’ striker Nick Proschwitz missed a late spot-kick at 2-1 before Nicky Maynard’s late penalty levelled for Cardiff which meant that if the Hornets were to beat Leeds, Hull would be in the play-offs.

Gianfranco Zola’s side were defeated by a late Ross McCormack strike, though, and City were left to celebrate their return to the top flight after three seasons in the second tier.

Elsewhere, there were no celebrations for Ji Dong-Won as Augsburg lost 2-0 at Europa League chasing Freiburg in the German Bundesliga.
The South Korean international played 90 minutes as goals from Cedric Makiadi and Jonathan Schmid, either side of half time, secured the points for the home side.

Ji’s side now travel to UEFA Champions League finalists Bayern Munich next week before they host bottom of the league Greuther Furth on the final day of the season.

You got a problem with Ji as well now? Thought he had potential, just taking ages to get used to English football. German footie is similar enough for him to have a chance with us.

But hey, no point in us arguing about it too much - as if PDC takes notice of Fans opinions on a footie forum. Canio will make his own mind up during the summer.

Ji and Elmo are crap. Re-calling them will probably weaken us imo, as they will add nowt and take away lots. Neither will ever be a decent top flight EPL footballer imo.
I'd sooner give Mandron, Noble or Laidler a run out if numbers are short.

Ji has been excellent last few weeks, scoring 3 massive goals to get Augsburg up to 3rd bottom and with a shot of staying up, in Germany, 3rd bottom in the Bundesliga plays 3rd top in Bundesliga 2, a great system I've always thought, over 2 legs.

He may be worth another look, as mentioned that is a tough , tough league, similar to ours , and PDC will improve his fitness levels.

Elmo is back at the club, I believe, and for me he should play RB on Saturday.

I would play Ji in our netball team mate but hey, its all about opinions. He looked like a fish out of water in the EPL and embarassingly inept and before that Man City goal is used to support him, I once saw Tom Ritchie score a hat trick and he was bloody useless as well.

I can't see much harm in getting them back. PdC hasn't seen them, if nothing else. And Ji has potential, although I suspect Elmo might just be a bit short on class at Prem level.

Yes Cest, but this was BEFORE the lad had a run of games in a league on a par with ours.

We signed him from the K-League and hoyed him in the mix, people improve with experience, and the lad has done great things for Augsburg.

    As well?

I aint got a problem with anybody. What I do have a problem with, is the club has a load of average ****ty players that we need to move on and improve on.

    As well as Elmo.

Both players who showed potential (IMO) but weren't ready for the premiership. We loaned them out so they could improve (get 1st team experience), but a few fans dont want to give them a chance to prove themselves.

But as I said, it doesnt really matter what you and I think, its up to Di Canio to decide, and he will judge them on what he sees during training,

    This, I agree with.

    Elmo
    Ji
    Larsson
    Graham
    Cuellar
    Bramble
    McClean
    Bardsley

Can all go for me, average players that have had us fighting relegation for a couple of years. In my opinion, these players at best, are squad players for a premier league team. I want to see us signing genuine quality, players that can make things happen and change a game. None of these players are capable of this. All slow players as well and thats a problem in todays premier league.
