Yet another manager has said that his side outplayed ours (Paul Jewell this time). I think that makes it virtually everyone is better than us, therefore the table must be upside down. Or could some of them be mistaken?
Steve Cotterill had a point. I didnt see the Ipswich match so I cant judge. Cardiff certainly were NOT better than us.
The table (the correct way up!) doesn't lie. Sure, there are sides that can keep possession for decent periods in a game. But there HAS to be an end result. You get points for winning, not for percentage of possession. We have been top virtually all year so have been there to be shot down, the result is that teams are probably more pumped up when playing us - Look at how we played against Newcastle last year. The analysis of our game by other managers means nothing, the analysis of our game by Warnock is all that counts. Onwards and upwards.
I remember having an argument with a Swansea fan after the game we thrashed them in. I argued that 4-0 flattered them because we had a number of clear cut opportunities which we wasted which were better than any chance they had. He naturally did not take kindly to this and kept bleating on (intended) about possession. When I asked him (repeatedly) to name the opportunities they had to score which were better than any chance we had (not including our goals) he refused to reply. Some fans are just silly. On the Hull board they think they were more likely to nick a winner on Saturday
