After seeing Englandâs under 21âs crash out of the European Championships at the weekend, I was waiting for an article such as this. Content is pretty accurate Iâd say in relation to the heart of English players these days and canât really argue with the fact that the money involved in England now is making club football preference. Article sums up the feelings I've been having for a few years now. Such a lack of interest from the players, coupled with the fact that they aren't actually that good.
The problem is now we have average players getting paid a kings wage. Years ago players use to be footballers & not attention seeking premadonna puffs (apart from Geoge Best RIP, he was both). Players think "arrr B*LL*CKS I´m still going to get paid & I´ll still have my new car next week & some sl*g to do, do I really need to give 100% this week" If England played football as a team like the Germanys do for i.e then they would of won a couple of EC´s & another WC by now, still atleast we are still better than the sweaty socks.
