Let's hope Mr Webb is on top of his game from the outset. Last season we saw a number of teams (you know who they were) coming out and adopting, I'll simply call them disruptive tactics. Yellow cards appearing way late in the game.

Blackburn are a tad desperate and are bound to try it on.

One thing I didn't understand about the Blackburn game was have they changed the rules on the tackle from behind ?

It would seem that Howard Webb has decided that the tackle from behind inside the box is OK and not a penalty, as demonstrated when Johnson was in the box and taken down from behind by Salgardo , not only that but he was also pulling him down by his shirt.
Yet during the match any tackle from behind outside the box he penalised !!!! whether the player got to the ball or not.

Did MOTD2 show this in their highlights-----No of course not.

Will Howard Webb be consistent all season in allowing the tackle from behind in the box --- of course he WON'T.
