No. Like everywhere else in the world the Cup should always be secondary to the league. Its only because the PL has final caught up and in many case overtaken its fellow european domestic leagues that the cup has become less significant. Doesnt mean its still not a great cup to win, far from. It just means we as a football nation, in terms of club football have improved.
