...For Norwich? Probably is tbf. Bit of a shame, because a) they have tried to play football and have entertained, and b) Daniel Fark looks like a Viking in a bench jacket, and that ought to count for something. Peekachu’s goals and Todd Cantwell’s skills - he’s basically a far less annoying version of Jack Grealish - aren’t going to be enough to keep them up are they? But who joins them? Watford have been showing signs of a possible revival of late, did Man Utd just derail that? I’ve been saying all season that Watford have enough about them to stay up, and Nigel Pearson’s appointment looked like just the job for a while there, but is the guy who worked a bit of a miracle at Leicester before getting sacked for being a weirdo, now yesterday’s man? Who else? Villa are ****. Bournemouth are in real trouble, and Var delivered the sort of kick in the bollocks yesterday that fate normally reserves for people who are down and on their way out. Newcastle look to have rediscovered how **** they actually are, just as the season gets serious. Then there’s West Ham. Will the London Taxpayers Stadium be playing host to Championship football next season? Is the Dildo Bros pet project destined for disaster? Is wasp chewing bulldog bitch Karen Brady still associated with the once proud East London club? I have no idea. “Cor blimey missus, where’s me trahsis”, as they used to say in the East End. I don’t want Brighton to go down, because Sussex by the Sea is a great away day, and also because there’s always the chance with them of another club getting fined when their supporters insist on singing “Does your boyfriend know you’re here?” Big game for them coming up against their anything but local rivals Crystal Palace Obviously I’m only contemplating all this because I’m absolutely certain Saints are now safe. So, who goes down? You decide...(well you don’t, obviously, but if @brb would kindly make himself useful and put a poll up here for me, you can pretend you do...)
Yeah Norwich are gone now which is a shame as you say cos they play good football, just don't have the quality. Should be relatively well placed to bounce back though. Right now I'd say Brighton and Villa to join them. Keep expecting West Ham to get out of it but if we can win there next week then they'll be in real trouble with their upcoming fixtures. Reckon Bournemouth will be okay. Newcastle will get dragged into the battle a bit as they're ****e but will ultimately get the two wins they need imo.
West Ham I just think it's long overdue. As you say the taxpayers stadium, I hate what has become of football, hopefully this season I'm wanting Man City to have the book thrown at them, as they wiggle and worm their way out of trouble with lawyers, and the Hammers going down, would be the nice little cherry on the top. As for bonus points, if a meteorite could blow the Sky Satellite out of orbit, even better.
Nothing short of a major european/world conflict is gonna stop the 'Moneybags' football. Even the last big economic downturn didn't phase the big boys, they still went out and spent big and kept increasing fees and wages.
Going for the current bottom three. We saw a slight resurgence from Watford but, I think its not enough honestly. Villa though are bang on if West Ham can secure a single win. I seriously would be shocked if Villa win another game all season. Newcastle and Bournemouth have got just enough to survive.
Bournemouth will be fine , and you were never really in the picture . sadly ( Purely personal reasons ) .
