    Just a thought.

Perfectly plausible given what we have witnessed since his injury.

What a miss this lad is.

We actually put him on the transfer list at one point.....shocking.

    :D

No, we miss anyone able to play big CB, he's better than Williamson, but when he plays again we will be better

I've always thought S Taylor was one of our best defenders.
    I've always rated him.
Even when quite a few NUFC fans turned on him during the Carrol "bust up"

He's a natural leader, that plays with passion for the club!

We definitely missed him vs Norwich. With his power we probably would have got a result. Swansea never really troubled us, however he is always an asset from free kicks/corners and may have come up with a goal or assist. Today, I don't think it would have mattered. It was the high line that effectively lost us the game, and Taylor doesn't have tremendous pace to cope with Long etc.

Overall yeah I would say we miss him, however I am hoping Willo will be adequate cover as he is a similar type of player.

No we don't have one, we have a few...

    Krul
    Saylor
    Colo
    Cabaye
    Tiote
    Jonas
    Ba

The rest of the team can chop and change as much as they want, but we need those players week in, week out.

He was placed on the transfer list because he was being a dickhead about his contract, and up to that point had never really played that well. This season was his best, by far.

I don't think this run of poor form is due to his abscence though, but rather that we didn't have another CB to fill in. Perch has come in and tried hard, but he's not a CB, and nor is he really a Premiership quality player in any position.

To be fair, I think he is our best defender, and although Colo wears the armband, Saylor is the best leader IMO.

Him and Colo compliment each other perfectly. When Willo is back, we wont miss Saylor as much as we did today.

Wouldn't say we need Tiote week in week out after that spell Guthrie had.

Strongest team based on overall performances this season:

    Krul

    Raylor Saylor Coloccini Santon

    Barfa Guthrie Cabaye Gutierrez

    Best Ba

Pardew isn't that far off IMO, just dont think hes getting his tactics right for specific games.

No but Ba is our RVP (as in he scores all our goals)!

Your so right. Just thought this last night. Miss his "put my head anywhere" approach so much. Norwich wouldn't have scored at least 2 of their goals or WBA their second last night.

Yep, S Taylor really would take a drilled shot full on in the face if it meant we didn't concede. Can't say the same for a couple of the others.
