SOD took over on the 14th January 2013, he had 2 weeks to sign new players and brought in one, he has had 6 plus week to sign any loanees to strengthen the squad but judged not to, 2 or more players moved on and 4 or more loaned out for experience, he has also stated our squad has a better quality that anybody out there available.

    He has had 14 games so far, Lost 6.....Won 5.....Drawn 3.....Out of a possible 42 points he has achieved 18 points and lost 24, Goals for 17.....Goals against 17...Home games.....Won 5.....Lost 0..... Drawn 2.....Away games.....Won 0.....Drawn 1.....Lost 6......

We are bottom of the table, so no improvement in our position....

This is just a look at the team performance since SOD took over, not a criticism but my question is when will we say SOD has to accept part of the blame for our failure, after all he has had time to make signings if he desired, the board have said they would back him if they could, it is his decision to make no additions..

We are almost certainly going to be relegated, do we blame the board, previous management, the players.......Who..?

We can't blame them for Post 14th January activity, surely...

I don't think the blame can lie at the feet of SOD at this moment in time. The bulk of the damage was already done.
Perhaps there arn't any decent players (better than we have) waiting to go on loan, also never really had a chance to buy any in the 2 weeks he was here.

I'm not saying that he's done everything right or he hasn't made any mistakes, but it does take a bit of time to get used to the facilities, the players, the setup and how the club ticks.

The blame IMO still lies with the board not acting quicker, November would have given us a better chance, but what has made thing worse is the teams around us have picked up very good form.

The only thing I do find alarming is our terrible away form, something that SOD needs to sort whatever league we end up in..

Agree with all the above, lets get behind SOD he knows what this club is about, next season is very important for all,he will not want to be plying his trade in league 1,he will want a quick return to the championship hopefully with city.

    No.

The owner and directors of BCFC and their former appointment are to blame. BCFC spend double what Millwall do. Clubs have reached the top division on less.

O'driscoll has shown that the 34 or whatever it ended up players on Citys books are not as bad as Mcinnes made them look. Three points from thirty odd at one point!!!

No it would be very churlish of us to point fingers at O'Driscoll. He may have made some mistakes, but we do not live in a perfect world, so as long as he does not go on making them like some of our players, we cannot criticise him.

I'm sure that he has tried to help players regain some confidence but we'll see what he is all about after a summer break when a number of players will leave to be replaced by fewer but of his own choice.

I am not sure that many players would actualy WANT to come to AG on loan?......I know I would'nt. Any decent loanees would have already been taken by teams in a better position than us back in January.
We have been on a downward spiral for what?...4 seasons now?....and this is finaly the end (we hope!). Out with the dross now and rebuild for the future. A tough future for sure though, so any fans thinking we will walk straight back up are in for a god almighty shock!

It's easy to blame the board in hindsight - after getting rid of Millen, the board appointed an up and coming manager who was well thought of (and to be fair he did save us last season). However this season it did not work out, with McInnes undoubtedly making some mistakes (which hopefully he will learn from and go on to be a good manager). At the time I wanted Mark Robins, but could see the sense in appointing DM.
No way can you blame O'Driscoll for relegation - in fact if you extrapolate the form from 14 games to 40 games we would have more or less 51.42 points (12 more than we have)

Of course he is part to blame, but not in whole. Unless the board has failed to back him in the transfer/loan window (which is unusal for our board), then his failure to add to an already well documented poor squad (albeit a big one) is a big criticism which should be levelled at him.

A cynic might say he is happy to keep any money until the close season, safe in the knowledge that if (as is most likely) we get relegated the fans and board will blame DM rather than each other, and then he has a full season in L1 to show us what he can really do, as lets face it a season battling at the top of L1 (hopefully) as against another probable relegation battle in the Championship will endear him to the fans that bit more. An example is how he sets the team up at home to appease the fans, yet refuses point blank to take anything other than a negative approach in our away games. As I say that could be a view by a cynical person.....

All involved with City over the last 2 years has a part, and therefore will have some blame apportioned to them for our current plight, from under performing players and managers, to a dithering and financially incompetent board.

I'm also of the opinion that he is partly to blame.
Been mentioned on here unbeaten at home, can't score let alone win away from home. If it wasn't for the loan signing of OG we would of looked even more crap away.
I work with a Florest fan who pretty much told me this would happen, he worries to much away about the opposition to take them on rather than go his own style. He done well at Donny (who to me looked good 5-2 against us, but ordinary the other times) and Bournemouth but with Florist players (who had a **** year last year, but we all know they were better than their position) and that cash injection is was hard not to improve. **** me look at what Billy pig face Davies has done to them, shows they were on a leash.

Good manager just needs to let loose sometimes. And will be the better choice to get us working next season but to me he had 20 games to save us, and bought us Howard no one complains about that one but Jody Morris everyone hung McInnes for.

I think any manager needs to given the time to develop a team, at least 2 full windows and time to settle the side from that.

I would like to see a bit more positivity away from home though..

I'm worried that he thinks the players were good enough to see the season out and that was a definite mistake.. but hey were not down yet..!!

A great point ROD, and TBH he looked very good against Cardiff, yet has not been seen since. At least he had 10 good minutes which is far more than we saw from Morris. No doubt if things go against SOD this signing will be brought up. Would rather him over Kilkenny though.
