I'm sorry SOD you cannot blame the fans for this, the teams inability to garner a win from 7 games in L1, of which at least 3 were very winnable it is his and the players fault, not the fans. We, the fans started the season full of optimism and hope, nobody was on his back then so he has to take his share of the blame. It is very worrying that he is already making excuses, if you lose the fans SOD then your position very quickly becomes untenable. Nobody boos a team that is playing well and winning!!!! Some on here are believing the spin that we are bringing the kids through and need time, when the reality is there are only 2 "kids" anywhere near the first team and Joe Bryan has played plenty of first team football so they are hardly new to this. A lot of our team have either played at or part of a club that have played far higher than L1, and by now this should be manifesting itself in results, it clearly isn't and that is not down to the fans I am afraid. Let me be clear before I get slaughtered, I do not want SOD gone but if results, and more importantly the effort and performance do not improve and he refuses to shoulder any blame then my view may well change, as might the boards!
With you all the way The latest in an ever growing list of winless games, uninspiring performances, and all the while we're told be patient, we're in transition. Sorry O'Driscoll you can't keep trotting out the same old lame excuses week after week while you steer us towards division 4. Peoples patience is now being severely tested. We've had what some people called the run of tough games, and now here we are in what is supposed to be an easier phase, and guess what ? The results are no better. When we lose at Swindon on Saturday there's another game gone. Next we'll be told that Colchester are more stable than us and that's why they won at AG. 4 points from 7 games is a bad joke and you need to get it sorted very quickly because you ain't got forever
The results are one thing, but from what I read on here the performances are poor as well. I appreciate that I do not get to games now as I live in Australia, but there appears no progress in the new SOD way of playing and I continually read that we have no width to the side. The only game I have seen was against the Gas, and I don't think the Gas played well in the second half, we just gave up, if it had not been against the Gas and it was all about the win then much more would have been made of a terrible second half that lacked any cohesion or ideas.
