ive been reading online that many consider vrp to be in the same bracket as messi and ronaldo what do you all think ?? my opinion i think its to early to say he could defiantly be there. what ronaldo an messi do is provide brilliance every season. hes been on this goal machine form for nearly a year, lets see where he is at the end of the season. whats your opinion people ??
He is catching them up for sure, was wondering how much you guys think he is worth IF he were to leave Arsenal (not that I think he will).
You cant compare the two directly to skill wise. RVP operates in an entirely different role to ronaldo and messi. RVP at the moment is there to score goals, that his primary focus for every game. Ronaldo and Messi's is to create opportunities. In the same bracket of skill and quality they bring to a team, quite probably he is. Its easy to spot how good Messi and Ronaldo are, a lot of the teams in La Liga are not even in the same class as most of the Premier League ones (especially towards the lower end). Its been harder for RVP to get himself noted, there are 6-7 pretty competitive teams at the top of the league, so more of those matches are key games for each of the teams. For RVP to have done what he has done against the competition he has had to faced is outstanding. He is almost definitely the best striker in the world right now (Mario Gomez gives him a run for his money). to reply to the above post. He is worth 2 million for EVERY goal he has scored in 2011, at the very least.
Is this a serious question ?? Quick answer - RVP is not even close ! You are telling me that RVP is in the same bracket as Messi, the best player in the world ? You planks ! Some people even have the audacity to say that Messi is as good as Maradona - THE best player the world has ever seen .. and some of you plebs think RVP is in the same bracket ????
I think all the fans who always asserted that RVP was more talented than Fabregas, for 5 years now, show something. RVP has a touch of genius about him. The same touch of genius that Messi has. In my opinion, Ronaldo doesn't have it in the same way, though he is still better than RVP.
Just repeat after me ... NO ONE , thats right , NO ONE is as good as Lionel Messi. But RVP is a very good player. Very good.
a couple of months ago one could argue Rooney was playing better than RVP , does that mean he is better than messi too. Messi has been outstanding for the past 4 centuries . The others are not in the same league. Heres the clincher . How many seconds would it take for Arsene to agree a straight swap , RVP for Messi. ?
arsenal the top club in london thanks to rvp, aw and an inept chelsea carrying a load of oap's and cart horses
The only thing stopping RVP being labelled in the same bracket as those two players is injury.... I remember not so long ago some fans were actually saying we should off load him (maybe a valid point at the time) because he was getting such little game time. Very rarely does a player come along who regardless of regular injury is so incredibly gifted that he is worth holding on to at all costs. RVP is that player and i'm hard pressed to think of many others (Tottenham will say King) but I believe we are seeing just the beginning of what this guy has to offer. It's imperative we hold onto him but Wenger does not need to be told this.
The only reason why RVP isnt in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo is just because of Rvp's consistency and his injury tendencies.. Messi: He has consistently scored goals and entertained football fans as well. Ronaldo: Hes proved himself in two different Leagues and his stats speaks for itself. RVP: Amazing player and a goal machine but has taken him too long due to his injury tendencies. I wouldnt say RVP is on a par with Messi and Ronadlo but i'd say he is a best striker amongst thm this season..
Someone touched on it earlier, he is performing at his current level because he is fully healthy and has no weaknesses. As for whether he's in the same league as Messi I think no, Ronaldo possibly....
Van Persie isn't in the same league as Messi, but could take the fight to Ronaldo. Remember, Messi and Ronaldo are surrounded by world class talent, Robin isn't. Put him in the Real or Barca sides, and he may score 50 goals a season, if he could stay fit.
there is a home in devon for retired donkeys, they could take torres. well done arsenal in the cup, could they be the only english club to qualify?
Arsenal have bulid their team around RVP, much like City last year or Liverpool... Messi, Silva, Ronaldo etc are key players in their teams but not bulid around them.
