Evening Northolt. Take a leaf out of Tony Benn's book. He was set up with Ali G. Before he worked out that it was a spoof, he met Ali's outrageous comments with vigorous and reasoned debate which became even stronger as Ali G got more outrageous.

PS, he is def a WUM.

Ah I see, thanks. He's definitely out for a reaction, that's for sure; but I think he should be met with reasoned argument rather than abuse IMO, or ignored depending on your disposition

I have more of a life than to seek attention here.

But I refuse to give up my right to defend Adel and criticise NW and blindly follow everything he does.

I repeat my question from one of the other threads, who would you like to see as manager?

I'm happy to let NW continue towards Xmas. If the defence can be tightened up, then I'll be satisfied.

For me the best manager since Francis was Sousa - if we could get someone else like him who is tactically astute and not a "get in their faces" type manager than NW, then thatd be great

But you were going to invade the pitch and demand his sacking if we lost heavily. Surely you would only do that with a replacement in mind, otherwise we'd just be a rudderless ship. How stupid would that be?

Did you ever see how tight the defence was when we had Sousa? And look at it now. 1st and 3rd goals conceded today were a disgrace.

Id have taken Curle as caretaker if it came to that. As I said, if the defence stays tight, I'm happy for NW to continue. But if we keep getting hidings, then it is time for him to move on.

Don't agree, sure defensively he was very good but was very naive regarding attacking play which was proved when Swansea missed the play off's because their GD wasn't good enough. He hardly set the world alight at Leicester either.

In some respects I think 77 does make some valid points. In the long-term we need to find a manager that will take the club forward, rather than just the team, through playing progressive technical football. Lambert at Norwich and Rodgers at Swansea are showing what lower division teams are capable; ultimately this is where I would like to head. However, Warnock, despite displaying some idiosyncrasies (like the 80s style kick-off), has shown that he is capable of adapting to the changes in modern football- otherwise Tabs would never had been in the team in the first place.

As for Sousa, its difficult to assess his influence; we were extremely frugal in front of goal during his reign, much like Martinez and Wigan at the moment.

All in all, it would be ridiculous to oust Warnock now or at Chrimbo; but eventually we need someone to apply a truly modern approach to Rangers

What was our win percentage under Sousa? He was never going to get us promoted, let alone give the leaders of the Premier League their toughest match of the season.

By the way, how tight was our defence last season? You can't compare to this season, the level of our opponents has risen considerably.
