He can't have missed this surely?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17521571

Just to stoke the fires, the key quote seems to be this:

" "Clearly the board will review the position as we come towards the end of the season," said owner James Brent.
"But Carl, if he's interested, had got a strong candidature," he added to BBC Radio Devon"

HAD a strong candidature? Typo or slow burning fuse?

Morning notDistant......yes I did see it..........But I'm rather distracted at present by Mrs Plymborn who has just had an hip replacement.

Op last Wednesday afternoon.....released Saturday afternoon....exactly three days to the hour........the moment they get you on two walking sticks and you don't fall on your face.....your out.........I had one hour notice before picking her up........they still havn't got her drug regime right.

Seeing you are not involved in the prediction thread your probably not aware that I shared it there, brb and joe are trying to catch me in our little league table and I won't have time to do my predictions using the Pentagon computer systems ( I use a sharper pin then them, but don't tell them).

So I'm a full time carer for at least six weeks and a full time nurse (without the uniform, sensible doesn't believe that) for the next approximate three months.

OK.....Carl Fletcher has been in charge for 30 league games and accumulated 36 points.....over a full season that is the equivalent of 55 points.

Better than relegation form but not lighting any fires is it. How much of that is down to him or down to the experienced spine of the team.........Purse,Wotton and Chadwick....who can tell.......will we stay up or not.......this is where a manager makes his mark on a team........or will that spine succeed even with Fletcher pulling the strings.

I did realise you had your hands full but thought a bit of light relief wouldn't hurt!

Hope everything goes well for both of you.

PS With the benefit of hindsight, maybe the "unwell" remark was ill-advised, sorry I'm just stupid not nasty!

There is a rumour floating around that Fletcher is being "watched" by Bournemouth with a view to them offering him the manager position.

Don't feel too sorry for plymborn notdistant. It only means he has to wait longer for his cup of tea in bed in the morning as his Mrs isn't quite as fast right now. He told me he has bought her a zimmer with a tray so she doesn't burn herself so he does have a heart I think.

I read that about Fletcher but to be honest didn't think it was that newsworthy and it doesn't really say anything we didn't already know. Now the Bournmouth thing is a bit different if there is any truth in it. It has to be remembered with Fletcher and his manager roll that when he first took over the spine of the team were not present so perhaps his points ratio would have been higher for a season than 55 had that been the case. This season is not the best to judge anyone by is it if we are fair.

You didn't read my post of yesterday properly plym. I borrowed a neighbours mower and finished it yesterday. I did buy a new one today though. Can't have the Mrs shirking her jobs. Can't believe you make the tea in the morning either. What on earth did you get married for?

Too many back yards and rear alleyways around Embankment Road where my mum was born..........reasonable area of grass on the Hoe.

Home Park has quite a good bit of grass.......and quite cheap as well.

Well sensibles grass might be cheap.......but I bet His Lawn mower cost more than a bag of grass seed.

B&Q are still more expensive with their 10% off. The mower cost me £70. Not state of the art but not a push one either. Don't want to discourage her in doors too much. Had to put the frigin thing together today following their instruction sheet. You need a degree in Engineering for some of these things these days.

I have a lawn Milton and so does every house in my street. There is a park at the front of the houses so the amount of green is overwhelming. You want to try the leafy suburbs rather than Union Street and the Barbican.

If I ever put bird feeders anywhere plymborn you may be walking funny for weeks afterwards for even suggesting it. It would give you a whole new meaning of "woodpecker" trust me.

Would that be Plympton St Mary or Ottery?

Thank you for the good wishes and anyone who gives us a visit is welcome. Specially after that nice lot from Brighton came down before.
