Don't get me wrong I'm more than happy with the result but sometimes I doubt he has a footballing brain. For most of the 2nd half we were on the back foot and who does he decide to bring on....Lover and Guthrie, inevitably hanging on in the dying minutes. Them two are not ****ing good enough to wear the shirt. As I say tho great result and another 3 points. HWTL

Can we calm down please. A few weeks back we were praising Pardew's tactics. He made a mistake today by bringing on Lovenkrands, hopefully he wont make that mistake again!

We're 3rd in the PL table so I would say no, he isn't.

No he isn't 'cos who set out the tactics to get us to 2-0 up in the first place? Just some subs are a bit baffling...

Not really, he's one of the most scientific managers in the game and has got his tactics spot on in many of the games he's been in charge. However after the 2nd goal when Wolves started getting 1st to everything I did feel he should of brought a midfielder on just to maintain a bit of possession. But hey-ho 3pts! :D :D :D

Pardew's actual footballing tactics are sound.

However, it's his sub decisions which are absolutely awful. They were all last season too. I have no doubt he would have brought Ameobi on there if he was fit.

This. He has our team playing some fantastic football, 3rd in the league and still to be beaten. Oh and we just got 3 points away to Wolves. Hardly inept.

He is prone to making stupid decisions but today we held on ...Just. No doubt if we had thrown it away peoples
    opinions would be slightly different

I wouldn't risk Santon or Ben Arfa against those hackers, when they are fighting for the ball there is no point taking the risk.

Guthrie is ****e. I was furious when that decision was made. However, to say that Pardew is tactically inept for that decisions begs the question "Was Chris Hughton mentally ******ed?" Because Hughton often played Guthrie in the dying minutes, and also played him for the full 90 minutes against West Brom (Which lost him his job) I fully believe we lost that match simply due to Guthrie's lack of footballing ability.

So no, Pardew isn't an idiot. Guthrie just plays well in training I suppose.

    This.

It's not like this is the first time we've had to put up with this tripe.

Yes but did you see Guthrie's performances against Tottenham and Man United at home last season? MOTM near-standard. <ok>

okay abit harsh maybe but sometimes he hasn't got a clue when it comes to substitutions. And chappaz your right, he would of defo played Ameobi if he was fit.

last 20 of 2nd half was worryingly like qpr need to learn when to go to a 451 with a decent striker up front

No, he's tactically very good. Lovenkrands earned a chance after scoring two in the cup and admittedly I dont know why Guthrie came on, how do you know Cabaye didnt get a knock.

Pardew has to stop this "everyone gets a game" policy, this is the Premier League not the under-9's. It almost cost us a win today but for some excellent goalkeeping and some dodgy refereeing.

That said we're third in the league and playing good football, can't be too harsh on the guy.
