Serious question here guys. I haven’t followed him much personally & have said a few times over the past fortnight that I like the idea of Kranjčar. Please don’t turn this one into another Bruce in/out as there’s plenty of those on other threads.

'I want to leave,' says £12.5m Sunderland and Blackburn target Cisse
Sunderland and Blackburn target Papiss Demba Cisse has admitted he wants to leave Bundesliga side Freiburg for a bigger club.
The Senegalese striker who scored 22 league goals last season and has struck four times in three league games so far this season, said he was ready to move to a 'different level'.
Prolific: Papiss Demba Cisse (above) beats Germany international defender Per Mertesacker to net against Werder Bremen on Saturday
Freiburg are holding out for £12.5million for the 26-year-old as he still has three years to run on his current deal, but Cisse has made his intentions clear.
'I want to leave,' he told local SWR broadcaster. 'Yes I have a contract but I really want to try playing at a different level.'

Fulham and Tottenham have also been keeping tabs on Cisse but he looks likely to move to either the Stadium of Light or Ewood Park, depending on who makes the highest bid before the close of the transfer window next week.

I just cant see us throwing out 12.5mill. It screams of desperation on our part, a final roll of the dice that could easily go wrong. Almost Flo-esque.

All EPL clubs have African players (not looking it up -if not, most do) and this levels the field. Benin (Sess) may not qualify whereas Ghana and Senegal will. It shouldn't deter us I hope.

As for Roque? No thanks Steve ...

Goal scoring is clearly our problem, not got a chance in signing this guy sadly though. Who I believe would make an excellent Bent replacement.

Personally I would rather have Helmes. More of a target man to play with Gyan, but he also has a pretty impressive goal scoring record. Think he would be cheaper than Cisse aswell.
