Alright chaps with the transfer window now shut and only Ji Dong-Won brought in from a different part of the world it begs the question is our scouting network up to scratch?

Under Brucie we have only realy signed Mensah, Cana, Sessegnon and Gyan from overseas that have came in and made an impact aswell as being good value for money especially Sessegnon IMO.

Do we need to concentrate at looking abroad and especially into France, Belgium, Holland and Germany over the next few transfer windows as we look for players. There is good quality, technically good players over there who we could get for good money.

I don't know if its just me who wants to see us with a load of flair players in the team like Sessegnon playing fast, fancy football but I think we should take more notice of the rest of europe when targeting players.

I think we spot them, then wait to long.

A prime example is Kevin De Bruyne, we were interested last January, he had a blinding season for Gent, and now we can't get near him.

We were linked with Simone Pepe, dragged feet, went Juve.

We see them, but we miss them.

I wouldnt mind that Cissoko from Lyon as left back maybe in January or next summer, just the type of left back we need.

In fact were we even linked with any left-back at all this summer? Shocking really.

I agree though of overseas network seems crap compared with other clubs or maybe we are just more careful with the deals and unwilling to pay the first figure.

To really take our club forward after this season we do need another major cash injection for the next step up in players but I suppose thats upto Ellis and depending on where we finish this season.
