Our dug out seats

  1. are just fine.

  2. need to be changed to reflect our new status.

Every time I see the subs or the managers in the dugout on Match of the Day I am surprised at the seats they have to sit in. They are like airline seats and yet in our dug out the manager and players sit on the same plastic moulded seats as we fans.

Is this egalitarianism and should therefore be continued or should we install new and very expensive seats in the dugout as our players and manager should expect to be cosseted now we are a PL side?

I like our "dug out". I hate those airline (we're better than you are, can you see the sponsors name) seats.

The flash seats provide an opportunity for yet more sponsorship income. Can we afford to miss out on that?

I am in favour of upgrading our seats which will also provide additional sponsorship income. Think we will also see electronic advertising hoardings around the pitch perimeter, high profile match sponsors and corporate hospitality sold-out every game too.

Back in the big time <cheers>

Adkins very rarely utilises his seat, so no issue there, opposing manger gets a numb bum and is irritable by half time. - keep the current seats.

As for advertising it can be applied equally to any seat, stick some logo's on the plastic ones. In fact to outdo the "luxury seat" brigade we could sell adverts on every single seat in the ground.

I don't want one of those horrid plastic things I think they should all be replaced with bus seats.

I love that idea, Godders. Bench seats with itchy patterned velour covering.

We buy posh seats and the away team can have wooden benches with splinters and giant boltheads in them.

Change the home ones to be put on a plinth with full time butlers.

Don't worry about the away ones...

I just wish I could pay a bit extra for the "lardybutt" extra-wide seats. Perhaps they could be sponsored by KFC or something? I always go to the football with my son who is as skinny as I was at his age. When I sit down next to him, it's final proof than you Can be in two places at once. <laugh>

I think the game is moving too quickly to much out of it's traditional roots. As much as I like the appearance of the 'car seats,' I think we should keep our plastic ones for the dug-outs. Why do we want to be yet another team or replaces them for the car seats? I think Newcastle were the first to do so and no one took notice until a few years ago. Now everyone does it.

Maybe we should fit the away bench with an ejector seat ready for the visit of Spurs
