Just read we have conceded less goals than either arsenal Chelsea and spurs. Add to that our goal difference is positive and equal with 8th placed villa , is our defence that good.? Is Brown doing the organising and reading the game job that we have not had probably since Bould ? Makes you realise if we had not got in to such a mess with forwards over last 11 months we could have been been in a very good place. Let's hope for clean sheet today and somehow we get a goal even without Sebs free kicks.
The biggest problem we have is scoring....any team that struggles to score goals will be near the foot of the table no matter how good the defence is...we need someone to start to score regular
The defence is decent because of what Brown has brought to it. Once his partner from Man U starts to fire on all cylinders it will be stronger again. But as Oldblackcat correctly points out, it's the other end that needs sorting, and quickly.
The defence doesn't win you games unless your forwards are scoring. Our defence is one of the best in the league but, we are still getting beat so it means jack to be honest. Again it's all about stats which like percentages can be used to prove or disprove points it's like having 75% possession, 25 shots on target but get beat 1-0 by the 1 shot on target the other team has with.
