Well no news regarding any new signings! speculation regarding JJ signing on friday has come to nothing as for any other new faces... Is it a case of no news is good news? I am a bit concerned of the lack of movement on the transfer market as other teams in our league seem to be stepping up! i have noticed that some good players have already been snapped up by our league 2 opponents.. I just hope that we do not leave it to late or worse still, ward has been told there is no money available and make do with the current crop of players we have.. which if later is true, then i dont think we have enough to contend for promotion next season..
I'm not worried that it's all gone quiet...don't forget that we've had a load of good news ..... Ward staying for at least another year,Section 106 signed off, McChrystal and Mildenhall, interesting new assistant manager, Harrison and Broghammer and others signing on........ As regards O'Toole...I've thought for a while that he might end up south of the river. He's good, but not as good as some make out.............................
he is good, too good for league 2 so if we get him then that could be the difference of going up or staying down. but its a worry for me and a big gamble toput all eggs in 1 basket and be happy to wait for him while other players who could do the job get snapped up by other clubs. were making the same mistake as mcghee did last summer trying to get constable for months on end then losing out on a striker full stop.
i dont think finances is an issue. i think its a case of ward knowing what he will get from o'toole so trust he will make the difference for us. i just hope he has a plan b and c etc because ward has already said he is happy to wait right to the end of the transfer window to get him which could hit us if he still dont come.
No doubt if he comes and keeps up his enthusiasm he will continue to make a large difference. Before and after him Rovers were not up to scratch. I cannot believe NH would allow the Constable fiasco to happen all over again. I seriously believe that NH and JW and Colchester will have sorted out a decision of whether JJ will be in our team next season and if not other options will be taking place. There's obviously a bit of politics going on, but we can be sure that something is happening, because even us humble fans can see that the team resembles a Polo mint with a big hole in the middle! Obviously we would all like to see all the players in place for the pre-season friendlies. because no-one wants to see the shambolic underprepared nonsense of last year! Losing to crap clubs like............
All the O'Toole gossip is starting to get on my tits now We still need signings 4 or 5 I would say a strong squad is a must if we get injuries we will be ****ed. IMO if no new signings are made then we will be looking at a midtable finish
