Sitting near the City dugout it is clear to see one of the clear differences between Nick and other managers...both ex City and away teams, in that he is quite animated on the touchline. Accepting that some of the most successful managers have been relatively unmoved from the bench, most these days use there technical area to relay instruction and are forthwrite in their delivery. Understandably Nick is in his early days of management but is this a negative area to his persona that may prove to be an issue as time moves on?
Have you not seen Mourinho or Villas-Boas? Anyway, what difference could it possibly make? I can't say I've noticed that much movement from Nick. He may not be sat on the bench all game but he's hardly what I would call animated.
I'd rather see Passion than someone just sitting there not bothered when they concede. I always think if I was a player I'd find it much easier to be motivated by a Barmby/Pearson type character than a grumpy Avram Grant type. I can't imagine how someone like him has any authority at all.
everybody has there different style, i personally dont like managers who stand unmoved no matter whats happening like sven did for england, makes you wonder if they give a **** about whats happening, even tho they probably do.
You should have seen me this morning when the U18s team I coach were playing. I'd hate to see a replay of it lol
Why nit pick on whether we have a manger, whose kicking every ball (as the cliche goes) or one who stands still and looks like a miserable bugger for 90 minutes. Neither mean anything and won't affect the game. Pearson cared as much as Brown did about City yet their managerial styles were different in the extremes.
not sure about that, when brown was in danger of losing his job, he constantly said, he couldnt sleep for fear of losing it..etc...pearson couldnt get out of here quick enough.
Fear of unemployment is different to wanting to change your job when a more rewarding offer comes along.
