Personally I think he is. La Liga has the best players*, has the best teams.

It's a case of us being brainwashed to think the PL is the best league in the whole universe (even Mars)

People always bang on about it's a 2 horse race - how about Atletico (especally last season), Valencia - currently 3 points of 1st. Both Savilla and Atletico 4 points off 1st.

Now if we look at the PL - that will be a 2 horse race. Chlsea and Man City. Southampton may stay strong, but everyone else is ****e and way off the likes of Chelsea and City. City might not be having a great time, but most teams drop form at some point and when they start firing on all cilinders they'll be a beast of a team.

Anyway this is what Moyes's had to say

    And for the lazy ****ers

David Moyes: Real Sociedad boss says La Liga is world's best league

please log in to view this image

David Moyes described La Liga as "better than the Premier League" at his unveiling as Real Sociedad manager.
Moyes, 51, who was sacked by Manchester United in April, said he took charge of the Spanish side after turning down offers from clubs in the Premier League.
"Real Sociedad tugged at my heart strings," Moyes said.
"La Liga has the finest players and great coaches and I want to test myself against the best."
He added: "It is the right time. I am well rested and I am ready to go."
Moyes has signed a contract to June 2016 and replaces Jagoba Arrasate, who was dismissed after a poor run of form which has left the club 15th in La Liga.
There are reasons for optimism, however. Sociedad have already beaten Real Madrid this season and recorded their second win of the campaign on Sunday when they overcame champions Atletico Madrid.
"This is the best league in the world, in my opinion," Moyes, who will take charge for the first time at Deportivo on 22 November, added at his presentation in San Sebastian.
"I see great morale amongst the players - last Sunday's result against Atletico really lifted them. My job is to extract the best of them and make them competitive.
"I feel this job fits my character. It's been a big decision for me and my family."
    Real Sociedad's next five games

    22 November: Deportivo (a)
    29 November: Elche (h)
4 December: Oviedo (a) - Copa del Rey
    7 December: Villarreal (a)
    14 December: Athletic Bilbao (h)

Moyes, who is Sociedad's fourth British manager after Harry Lowe, John Toshack and Chris Coleman, hinted that he will allowed to dip into the transfer market in January if he deems it necessary.
"I have to assess the players I have here," he said. "The transfer window is five weeks away. The president said he will do everything he can to help me."
The former Preston and Everton manager succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson at United in July 2013 but was was sacked four games from the end of last season with the club lying seventh in the Premier League.
Moyes hopes his return to management after six months away from the game will deliver results to rival his time at Goodison Park.
"I had a great 11 years at Everton, a club very similar to this," Moyes said. "I took over Everton and grew it and it got better and better. I am hoping I can do the same here."

*Five players out of the top 6 in world football play in La Liga imo. You could go further and most probably find the best 20 out of 25 play in La Liga but CBA.

    1 - Ronaldo
    2 - Messi
    3 - Neur
    4 - Suarez
    5 - Neymar
    6 - Bale

    Thoughts? So LL vs PL

Best league, not the most entertaining though. Although I will say the PL is slipping in that department.

    Obviously tge premier league.

La liga is the most unfair competition on earth. It takes all tge excitement out of it before a games even been played.

Better managers? The best two ply their trade in england and germany. Barcelona have a nobody and real have a cup manager (great as he is).

    Outside of that....'simeone.

Players. Dont think theres much in it to be honest. Some genuinely world class players play a in both leagues. The top two pay in spain but after that, its all opinions.

Since Man Utd won the league with no team even bothering to try, the PL has gone down hill rapidly.

I remember going to watch Malaga at home, in a game that meant bugger all as it was at the end of the season and Malaga were safe. This was a few years back and the atmosphere kicked the ass out of any PL atmosphere I've ever seen. The passion the Spanish have is incredible, compared to the libraries we play our football in.

There are some real hidden gems in La Liga - Malaga being an example. Seen them a few times and they give 110% no matter what.

People tend to think La Liga is full of really ****e teams, I beg to differ

Arsenal?? 4th place nailed on EVERY year.

Utd have fallen and won't be getting up for a while (if ever) and Liverpool could easily win the quadrouple this year. But from next year until the end of time it's a 2 horse race - Chelsea and ££££

Get over it custard - life can be a right bitch <ok>

City squad ageing and hampered by FFP.

Chelsea squad right ages to improve :) and our youth players Loftus-Cheek, Ake and Izzy B best in country too.

And we are making money

La liga. Technically better and offers the best of both worlds. You will find teams who look to play with pace and you'll find teams who will play a more considered, build up and tactical approach. One thing you won't find in La Liga is route one football, and you won't often see a defender kicking the ball into row Z, and if he does, you won't see the crowd applauding him for it. Just a different mentality towards the game. Tall, physically robust build players are not the be all and end all, and there's a greater emphasis in developing individual technical ability.

Also, you look at the Spanish side that won the Euros and World Cup in 2008 and 2010, you see the numbers who played in their domestic league. The Italy side who won in 2006 had all its players playing in their domestic league. I guess you can add Germany to that somewhat. You have to give credit to those leagues and not the Prem to produce players and a style of football that wins tournaments. We get suckered in by the slick Skysports peddled merchandising of the Prem being the best. Skysports ffs!! It really isn't.

I would compare the Prem as perhaps the 20/20 equivalent of cricket, while La Liga is like Test cricket. The short/sharp form of the game may seem appealing to some, but Test cricket is a more technical form of the game with greater skill and tactical nous needed, which appeals more to the purists like me.

    Well said that man.

Most ****wits have simply been brainwashed by SKY. The PL probably isn't even the 2nd best league let alone the 1st. The Bundesliga I'd put 2nd.

Nobody has been brainwashed. Its simply a matter of opinion. There is a great number of players who are considered quality in the premier league. World cup winners, champions league winners the lot. The game is played at a higher pace over here which creates a different style. Teams are capable of nice, neat passing and you can see examples of technical brilliance throughout. Sides are more flexible in the premier league and use what they have to their advantage. This is often a big bulky striker and a tough, hard working midfield so long balls have a place. If there is 10-15 minutes left in a game and you need a goal, the best plan for most sides is to get the ball in the box quickly and often. Its a tactic. Just because some relegation threatened spanish side would rather pass it 50 times to create one chance seems silly. Most of thw spanish sides are simply not capable of tge football real and barcelona play. It shows too. How many 5+ goal thrashings happen? Its an indication of the leagues overall quality.

I agree technically la liga is superior. Entertainment wise it's probably the premier league. In terms of the spread of quality players i again have to go with the premier league.

In overall league quality, its the premier league. The money is making a difference and while right now the premier league is better by a nose, in years to come it will be miles ahead.

Got to laugh at the straw clutching criticism of Fabregas. He's been the best midfielder in the league so far.

  20. La Liga may have the best players but their bottom team won't beat the top side like in the Premier League. As much as I want to see the best players in the world, I want the league to be competitive more.

A few years ago the PL have some of the best players around but that was also the time of the regular top four that didn't change for years. PL teams were regularly in the latter stages of the CL too but the league was predictable.
