2 advantages NOT played plus one penalty NOT given. Palarse have been robbed - and it's not half time yet. Basic refereeing for me - only the 'penalty' might be forgivable due to the angle of vision - the others were bad (or deliberate????) decisions. I don't normally slate referees but MC isn't doing his profession any favours here
First non advantage a mistake but given the moment Wickham went to ground. He doesn't appear that bias but there are tendencies for refs to be biased towards big teams
I watched the game on BBC and no replay of the incident leading to Ashford's injury. I know it was quick but didn't Cabaye stamp on Ashford's knee deliberately ?
I rarely criticise referees because they have probably the hardest job on the pitch. However, in the first half today he made some terrible mistakes which were quite basic and very costly to Palace. I don't support Palace by the way....
Agree, Clattenburg made a massive error for the Wickham incident in particular. TBH if that happened in the Championship he would probably get a talking to, for such a big event as the FA Cup Final he should have done better. As for the penalty, not for me, yes Rooney didn't win the ball, but he didn't really get the player either, I think his natural motion took him over, although we have all seen penalties given for less!!
The best team won on the day...so United have been lucky for over 20 years then, what a crap statement that is. The decision against palace in the first half was a very bad one to say the least, but that aint Man Utd's fault...Palace had their chance when playing with an extra man but they did not take it. Lingard's winner was one of the greatest goal ever scored in a cup final. Once more, the best team won on the day...end of!
The best team won and what a class act Rooney was, now I'll get shot down and what a twat Pardew looked doing his wiggle, I bet Scotty laughed..
No qualms from me at Utd were the better side, but in truth a poor game, low on quality, that said 2 great strikes from Puncheon and Lingard.
