Is Kone one of the five ?

Folks, dont go shooting the messanger here, but ive just had a text from a colleague who works in the EPL ( for those of you who know me, Iam not in the business of blagging) and this individual has told me that, whilst its not a nailed on certainty apparantly Kone at Wigan is one of the strikers being looked at to make up the compliment of 5 PDC is looking at for next year. Cannot say much myself as I havent seen much of the lad play. What do you think . ??

Canny scoring record. Pushing 30 so really depends on how much Wigan want. 5m maybe but fear Wigan would want more. A lot more.

Jumbo, I was thinking exactly along those lines when I phoned him back.I told him I was surprized we were looking at anyone before safety was assured,he just told me nothing was nailed on and that we were one of several clubs closely monitoring the player.

 

Havnt really seen much of wigan this season, like the look of macmanaman though

Would not want any of them. Sick of SAFC signing players from relegated teams. Unfortunately the scrap we find ourselves in may mean we have to sign lesser quality players than we were hoping for, IF we stay up that is.

 

McCarthy (the one who scored last night) is great and will end up at a top 4 team for sure. He'd walk into our side.

The best of the bunch but at what cost? £10 mil minimum for a decent EPL player. Better and cheaper abroad imo.

I'd watched Kone quite a lot before Wigan signed him. I was pretty gutted Wigan signed him, and wondered why we never made a bid. He's a quality player IMO .
