Trying to differentiate between the waffle and the truth in what Jose says, will do your head in.
So what do we make of this??
Jose has apparently said that our new striker will be from Costa. Mandzukic or Cavani, and Rooney is now a dead duck.
Is he serious, or is this another smokescreen ??
I have a feeling the Rooney thing is far from dead and the Mata deal has some strings attached. On the other hand, would take any of the strikers mentioned.
Also read that JT will be given and accept a 1 year extension. That is more likely to be right.

CP--I believe our fortunes will not be decided until we get to the end of the season. We have to ensure our striker is in place and worthy of a Blue shirt! That really is all we need to get right!

Reported in Daily Express, quoted as "sources". Notice I said " has apparently ". I know the papers make up as much stuff as Jose.

On the form against City a striker is all we need. Would also expect some reinforcements in CDs', and left back, though what Bertrand has to do is beyond me. Courtais is a puzzle as well, would be a great asset but will it happen??
What chance has Lampard got of another extension ??? Must be doubtful, as must Cole. Interesting times, but EC is right to say the things that are happening are all very productive.

Well I for one wouldn't want Chelsea to have anything to do with Rooney who has weight problems, doesn't train well and has problems holding form whilst suffering from hissy fits of petulance when things get tough.

    £300k a week?

    **** No <ok>

I'll second that Robbie! I hate to say it but we need to start thinking "English " though, for all the rules being put in place over the coming years!

I'd say Cavani would suit you guys but Costa would also be a good buy, gutted we didn't get him a £22 million fee now seems reasonable.

Massive Cavani fan but unless PSG are going to take a massive hit on him, 50 million is too much. Costa at around 30 odd million seems much better business. We'll recoup some of that with Ba at least being sold in the summer too.
