I think he will unless they put in a ridiculous bid.

This farcical story was seized upon by those who wish to constantly criticise the club and its board and create as much false misery as possible. Story now totally refuted by the club Chairman.
To say he is not going (at any price) is naïve.
To claim that he was going for £1.5 million was just the excuse needed for the constant whingers to attack the club. Pathetic - you should see the 'other' board! I give up with it now finally and for all time - it's just too depressing and embarrassing in its moaning blurt outs.

Guys, has he actually gone. If he has for 1.5 m, It is a ****ing joke. He is a far better player and that price is way to cheap.

Quite frankly iggy, I don't know why anyone bothers with the "other "board, it's so biased and opinionated. The sole purpose seems to be to seize on any potentially adverse news to knock the present running of the club. Some of the stuff on there is sheer over the top garbage.

Mutch is a class player and has skills that would grace the Premier League. If he stays and wants to play a part in getting us back there, then I'm all for keeping him. If he's not happy with a season in the Championship trying to do that, he's better off being sold now.........but not for the ludicrous price mentioned in the press. I said on an earlier thread that something around the 4 to 5 mill mark would be nearer the mark, and that would need to be thought about.

If he stays, he's a free agent next year so can negotiate his own terms - seems like a win win situation for both him and the club........unless we needed the cash and we don't.

    OS,
Which one in particular do you mean?

The one where most of the posts are about politics, what you watched on tv last night, what are you eating for lunch or going to drink/listen to tonight or be drawn into ridiculous debates with the Lone Gunman OR the one where there are more football posts but unless you agree with the main man or his sidekick, you get derided.

Sometimes I wish this board gets more punters and traffic but not too many where one loses sight of what a message board is about.

The one I think Iggy was talking about.

This board is far more balanced and therefore effectively superior to any I have visited. I don't post anywhere else and rarely read these days unless someone posts a link.

Yup definitely Bob. You put your point of view across without harassment don't you agree?

Don't knock it if others see things differently from you - there's always the "other" board. <ok>

I don't go in for this our board is better than your board stuff. I read this board, Annis's board and Mike's board and get a much broader perspective of all City fans views.

In terms of balance, believers from all church's get a say on here, on the basis that anyone's point of view can be debated but respected if put over the right way.

From what I have seen of the Annis board, if you say something that doesn't toe the party line you get ridiculed at best and excommunicated at worst.

    Blue,

The board is a reflection of AA ;)

Mutch must be worth at least 6-7 million with some nice sell on clauses.

It's not that this board is 'better'. When I read threads on the other boards they seem to descend into arguing or point scoring very quickly that's not for me.

Reading various messageboards can be like trawling the political press. Instead of being written by journalists delivering the party line with a clear agenda, some boards are populated by posters taking the opportunity to promote their own personal views as gospel.

From what I've read in the past (re Hamman) and also recently (re Tan), there are some so far to one side of the divide that they make Pravda look like an Enid Blyton comic.

This may suit any viewing individual's preference if it happens to be in line with their own beliefs - that's human nature. The point is we should all read what we want to read, but also accept that others have different standpoints. Supporting the club together in its' longer term interest should be what it's about, rather than posting kneejerk reactions toward every crumb of "news" that suits a particular cause.

I've personally got no enmity toward anyone posting on here who holds differing views to me, unlike another forum's members who try to belittle and ridicule anyone not following their own personal mantra. I'll argue my corner, but that's where it ends for me. That's just my view and I accept that others will take a different line elsewhere and on here.

As long as it's civil and not abusive, you can express what opinions you like on this forum without fear and be treated equally, not like some sort of pariah.

    Hi ToB

Yes, I realise that and he has his sycophants hanging on every word.

Not sure about £6/7m for Mutch though. Last year of his contract, injury prone and part of a relegated team, albeit one of the better performers. I would have thought £3/4m nearer the mark, but what do I know? Lol!!!!

Fair post Spark and much appreciated. <ok>
I think the reason this board is less confrontational is due the fact that there are far less posters so far less opinions to be offered. Add to this that points seem to be generally debated by a mature long standing audience. The fact that so few new posters are being attracted of late though does puzzle me. What is it that the other boards offer that this one doesn't?

There are some really good posters on the other boards Spark. Don't think they all follow the same mantra.

But that is a ridiculous bid! Does that mean he's going?

Exposure. If you search the web for Cardiff forum you get the boards suggested above but not this one. The people who came over from BBC are pretty much all this board has.

Some other boards post on twitter with provocative tabloid type headlines linking to threads that often have little to do with the actual content or is content based on a rumour that has been proven to be bollocks before the link was posted.........

It's a bit quiet here at times but I prefer this board. There are quality posters (imo) on the other boards but some of the trash written on there makes it difficult to wade though in my experience.
