According to a new (possibly mischievous) poster on CI: "Rest of season contract paid off and been released Off to DQPR and getting paid half what he was here on a 2 year contract. **** "
Surely not the rest of the season? That would be near £2m wouldn't it? I hope he gets nothing else from us apart from the sweat off Barmby's arse!
He wouldn't get it all , surely, the whole point of terminating a contract early is so that the player gets a big payoff but the club saves money.
Radio Humberside said tonight "tune in to brekafast tomorrow for an announcement on Jimmy Bullard" so I reckon there's a good chance this is true. Unless the poster heard this too and put 2 and 2 together.
Likewise OLM. However, I've worked in broadcasting and it's possible that BBC RH have agreed with Hull City to put an embargo on the story until a certain time.
Nah - they hinted breakfast, and even with an embargo they would be dropping hints about what time the news would break. Sounds like they have just expected an announcement and it has been delayed... leaving them too embarrassed to raise the issue of promising news........ There is always news about Jimmy coming tomorrow....... it will probably be tomorrow now, whuch never comes.
Steve7 Quite possibly, and it's also possible that a lawyer has just stamped on it. I've seen it happen plenty of times for all sorts of stories even up to the last minute. Cheers
Well, as I'm in Nottingham I am spared the burden of Burnsie on the wireless... Waiting for newsnow to break the story as usual.
I just get the digital/FM signal in a village just north west of Lincoln, ...I sometimes wish I didn't! Though I'm glad of course I can get City's games when I can't get there. Anyway don't hold your breath waiting...LOL
I'm not - although I do get to most of the games, or my season ticket goes to my sister. Don't mind Burnsie after the game, as he seems reasonably impartial on his summing up. Fed up of this story though, it is just a mess.
When at Eland Rd last season Burnseys story was the Allams deal had fallen through. Thats wasn't quite right either. As tonights game is important perhaps the club are holding off so as not to divert attention away from the game. The Bullard saga is nearly over so another day is not an issue.
