Just looking at my latest threads published, folks are just liking or disliking, but no real feedback. Is this site in self distruct mode or what? wondering is it worth the bother or going elsewhere, maybe start a new site, Ive got the money. Over a year ago we were a quite healthy site, now quite pathetic, despite Syds efforts, He must spend hours every day trying to dream up new threads, and appreciated, but hard nontheless. On an earlier, much earlier thread I asked for people to take part, good enough to read, good enough to reply, I still believe that. Now we have a like or dislike, counterproductive. keep this and in six months NOT 606, Will be over. dead and gone.
i always liked ja606.... it is an improvment on the 606 but has a real improvment to it but im staying here unless the threads dry up
It's members make a site not all these gizmo's and gadgets which I agree are counter-productive. Unfortunately this site seems to be losing members every day and now we have maybe 20 - 25 regulars? I hate to say it because Syd has put many many hours into this place but it's not what it was and not a patch on BBC 606.
i read most postings but only reply when i feel nessesary infact there is not much worth replying to at the moment but i will still drop onto the site and throw in my ten penith when required
as i said i am not an avid poster but still enjoy my ventures onto this site even though i dont have much to say i am not fast at typing and some times the threads have moved on to quick for me to keep up but i still try to get involved
The thing is Vince "you do post, you do respond" and fair play to you, as for typing , try it with carpel tunnel in both hands, not easy mate. But you and the likes of you keep this site going.

Mick is trying to add things to give more options, this one, IMO was not thought out but the intention is good. The notification and negative affect are gone, Mick is looking at ways to make it more discrete and if it becomes a big problem it will go. All that said, and its just my opinion, all of that is not the problem, people posting and commenting is what will make or break the site. We will never please all the people all the time and I no longer get concerned about who stays or goes, all we can do is our best and talk to those around who want to talk back. I will be staying around until I find better, ja is not for me, SMB is to snappy and SAFC only sites are not for me so here I stay. BTW I am a member of all those sites, just don't use them.
The loyalty is in most folks SYD. But what I dont understand is " why try to fix something that aint broken" If you look at threads from fifteen months ago, look at the names, look at how many people gave a ****, " where are Davos and Ballen boy for instance, only naming two, and why have they gone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,beyond me.
Can't be arsed to move again the travel from BBC 606 knackered me out. I'll be staying here as long as there's still others to debate with.
I don't post articles too often,but I am on the site,reading posts every night.Like syd,and many others,I came over from BBC606.What beats me,is that the Sunderland website is full of up-to-date craic every day,thanks to such as syd,and yet most other club's sites have pages where nothing new has been written for a week,and we are complaining!!We have a lot to thankful for on our board!!
Just read through a thread where most of the replies were disliked by some numpty called erikson or whatever if, that's his bag then fine crack on and save your right bicep. Personally think this is another go at enticing the barcodes back who left because they dished out grief but, couldn't take it back, to be honest I think if you can't be arsed to reply or have nothing to say then why enroll on a forum like this? Not sure why this new stuff came on but, seeing as I don't use rep it will not be used by me. If I've got something to say negative or positive then I'll say it.

I do think that Mick is trying everything to make this site a success even if some of the ideas are a bit naff, suppose some do like that sort of thing though.
Rep, achievements, like and dislike are not for me so I don't use them, what's the problem or are we saying I dont like it so I dont want those who do to have it. And how we make the forum better by posting a thread suggesting we all move is beyond me, why not be positive and just enjoy the bits you like.
Like anything in life change or something different is often frowned upon but you usually get used to it and see both the pros and cons. Like most internet sites these additional options are available and imo if we want to increase the members these are the things that might draw them in especially the younger ones? Personally BBC606 was good for debate but I found it a little bit bland, this is why this site has been a breath of fresh air. Sometimes a simple “like the post” is a good option when you don’t have time to post a reply or feel all that needed to be said has been and therefore don’t want to repeat. We all know there will be the usual numpties who will misuse the options but that says more about them than us and after all the best way to humiliate a numptie/wum is not to reply or bite.
