    And change formation?

Well something's got to change. We're seriously in the shyte now. I'd like us to line up like this for the next game:-

    ..................Camp..............
    Mathews..Salter..OShea..Oviedo
    Mcmanaman..Catts..Ejaria..Mcgeady
    .........................LuaLua...................................................Fletcher......................

I think so, I thought we should have switched to that formation yesterday when we were two down. Playing three CBs means there's one more player on the pitch who can't pass the ball and one less player up the pitch to receive a pass. We need to go for it more.

I said exactly this yesterday. The 5-3-2 has its benefits but we need to go balls to the wall now. We need to win about 8 of our remaining 16 games to stay up. We are conceding goals and losing games with the current set up as we allow teams to push up on us. We need to start taking it to teams.

    -------------------------Ruiter--------------------
    Matthews-Browning-Oshea-Oviedo
    ----------------Ejaria---Honeyman---------
    Asoro-----------LuaLua---------Mcgeady
    ---------------------Fletcher----------------------

Agreed it looks like our strength is going to be in attack, if anything, and we should play to that strength. As disappointing as the result was yesterday for the first 20 mins or so you could see some potential in the link up play from Asoro and the new lads.

We need to go down, or survive, with all guns blazing, I know Grayson failed with this tactic, but what have we to lose now, this League is still a poor one, so a good run is not impossible even at this late stage. Nil Desperandum.

How about giving the young goalkeeper a chance. He can't do any worse than the numpties we have been playing.

I'd definitely move back to a back four. I've often said that if you play with 'wing backs' they need to be exceptional as well as the centre backs and we don't have the personnel. However, we have at least plenty of cover at centre back now.
The midfield and attack is a matter of see who's fit and then decide. We did score goals in Grayson's system, and now that we can rest Jos occasionally we might be alright.
I can't believe that Jos is still our most influential defender..... mental

Theres no Blue print to get out the Championship its about grit and determination. Its back to basics stuff and 442 is the only way in my opinion.

Not sure what the best system to play would be but when I look at our squad I think that wingers is where we are strongest, mcgeady, lua lua, mcmanaman are all decent wingers for this league. Never been a big fan of 3 at the back with wingbacks, puts a lot of emphasis on central midfield players to create which is just asking for trouble with our squad.

The current tactics are not working, that team/formation looks a better bet.

Defence is our biggest worry, and the managers toughest selection problem. Only Big Sam had the courage to leave out the "big noises" in the dressing room and in doing so gave us the best team we have seen in many a year. He had options of course, as far as I can see Coleman does not,, but listening to him he has faith in both Catts and JoS., a faith I do not entirely share.

I think we should try 5 at the back, 4 in midfield and 3 upfront and hope the Ref and the opposition dont notice, we might just get a result<laugh>

We have to mix it up against the oppo more, depending who they are.

As much as I get the play to your strengths mantra (whatever they are), we keep getting humped by the more physical teams and are too easy to figure out

As well as being physically lacking we are not at all clinical in taking goalscoring chances.
