Correct. He said racism on the field is practically non-existent, and he's right. Racial insults non-existent? Probably not, but genuine racism (the assertion that one race is superior/inferior to another) hardly does exist on the field of play anywhere in the world. He'd know, being head of FIFA, and he freely admits in this interview that efforts are being taken elsewhere in football to stamp racism out. He's not in denial about anything. And he's right that when there's the odd comment between players, they should resolve it between themselves rather than crying to the press. Football's about being thick-skinned and if people make niggling comments at you, you respond by tackling them hard or by dialogue with them, not by being a brat. Footballers say all sorts of **** to each other to try win the mental game, but still shake hands at the end of the game.
