OK lets accept what Heaney and the B.I.L. are saying that the money is in place and they can complete. The Football League have surely made their decision on whether Heaney can be acceptable as part of the deal and that Ridsdale is a fit and proper person. Until the FL say yea or nay B.I.L. might be reluctant to complete and vice versa until B.I.L. pay up the FL are holding back their judgement. The main player in all this is Brendan Guilfoyle, he is in charge of events and should have been positive ages ago. His continual back peddling on Heaney and B.I.L. having the funds available have shown him to be weak.......Heaney's continual comments that the money was available when needed should have been strongly challenged at the beginning........if he didn't have it then time would not be so short know for another bidder to be involved. Guilfoyle's bad negotiating should mean that his firm should cough up the August wages etc......giving another bidder breathing space to complete a deal. If Guilfoyle pulls the plug on PAFC (heavens forbid) and liquidation is the result he and his firm should be sued for gross negligence on not completing a successful outcome. LETS HOPE AT THE END OF TODAY (26th) THAT IT WILL NOT BE THE CASE AND THINGS FALL INTO PLACE FOR PAFC TO STILL EXIST.
Guilfoyle says that the sale is agreed amongst all parties involved...........paperwork being finalized.........but no date mentioned for completion.......but obviously very soon.
I'd counsel caution - "lawyers finalising contracts" isn't a phrase that leads me to open the champagne immediately.......
