    For Catts?

If and when he returns, will he return as captain..or has he lost it for good.

Maybe a blessing in disguise really. Concentrate on his game, although he has a battle with Vaughan now..

Will he get picked ahead of Colback even, then there's Meyler to come...

Should have given the armband to Brown as he has been outstanding so far this season.
I don't think anyone can pick fault with the way our midfield performed yesterday and i hope Bruce sticks with it

There were a canny few on here saying that O`Shea ought to have the armband anyway when he signed - with Catts clearly (I hope) going to have to get his place back first I would have thought it stays on O`Shea's arm for now

I hope Catts doesnt get the armband back, he hasnt got the mentality for it at all!

O`Shea or Brown for me, both have bags of experience and both can read the game from the back and both will be respected and listened to by there fellow players!

Its a no brainer for me!

Infact on Vauhgns showing yesterday with Gardner i fail to see how Colback or Catts can get back into the starting 11, the new central midfield pairing were superior in every way! They will however be good back up!

You have to judge a captain on what they do. Comparing Catt's long tenure to just the one match for O'Shea, I have to say the matter is firmly settled in O'Sheas favour - simple as. He provided LEADERSHIP. That contributed in no small part to the performance. The demeanour and attitude of a number of players was changed and the result followed.

    O'Shea keeps it, end of.

Losing it would free up his brain cell to concentrate on not diving in all the time.

It was 1 game, lets see how Vaughan does when he gets a run of games before we start jumping on Catts. Its a squad game and competition for places is good, this might lead to Catts lifting his own game when he gets his chance again. Remember it was only 1 match.
