is it me or has choc bars shrunk?

    just got a snickers bar the bloddy thing hardly anything in it no bigger than my small finger surely they were larger than this 70p your having a laugh

    yes like women they shrink over the years...imagine buying a topic now..prob the size of a fun pack choc bar!

    70 p? You must have bought the king size one. Topic bars are a thing of beauty, but they were always tiny anyway. I doubt their size has matched inflation so aren't worth it

    Good to see you bring real issues that matter to the real people to the forefront though jon <ok>

    Liam Fox's mate is a shareholder in the companies responsible for the manufature of chocolate bars and MOD threatened to bomb any countries making them if they didn't reduce the size of the finished product by 50%. Well that's what i heard anyway......

    The Mars Bar has shrunk slightly from its introduction in Britain in the 1930s to today.

    But that's only part of the story - the actual chocolate content has become much thinner, while the ratio of cheaper ingredients has increased.

    A young graduate starting out with ICI in 1940 would have received the equivilent of 33,000 Mars Bars a year (£275).

    A graduate today will receive around 38,000 Mars Bars (£5,700).
