....or does anyone else want Barton to go?

I know he was great for us last season, but his attitude is really annoying. Yes we understand that talks broke down, but to be fair, it seems like because he hasnt got everything he wants, its the clubs fault. One good season in four, and alot of negative press and controversy, plus a prison sentance.

I would rather we sold Barton than Nolan, but both have seemed to band together. If its either them or the club I have throw my hat behind, then its Newcastle all the way!!

 

Don't wan't him to go. Do want him to shut the hell up and apologise for stirring **** up with the fans he claims to respect.

In answer to the OP's question - yes I want Barton to go now. In fact I will drive him myself.

 

If Barton wants to go, may as well slap him on the a**e and wish him well on his route to being the "best English midfield player in the PL"

Mind you, I'm loving the fact that he was standing tall with his scouser mate in cohoots to get better contract deals only to find that Nolan has nobbed off to West Ham (although I am not sure how moving to a Championship club can be considered to be a better move). Looks like we are looking at the ONLY remaining contract blackmail monkey remaining in the team and we got rid of most of them when we got relegated. It would be better for him to p**s off so we dont have to keep reading about this contract bullshit over and over which clearly has a negative effect on the rest of the team

If he was in any other line of work he'd have his contract terminated and kicked out of the door, as it stands the best Ashley can do is hope for a decent fee to come in. Stupidly unprofessional to a man who didn't tear up his contract while he was in jail, would quite happily wave him off to join his bumboy at West Ham. As a player he's decent, but his recent actions are unforgivable in my eyes, when Sky Sports are reading his 'mejoseandjonas' comments as news he should be terminated as soon as possible to minimise the impact on the squad.

As much as I like both barton and nolan as players, this contract bullshit has gone on to much.
Nolan to me has shown how much he loves it here by taking a step backwards to a lower league club (no offence West Ham) so will be well into his 30 IF they come straight back up.

Barton had a blinder of a season but now is starting to show his true colours again by letting his mouth go. Yes he had an outstanding season, but I thought his best English Midfeilder comment a bit cringe worth. To be the best you have to play like that consistantly for season not just one. And it's hard to do that when you are locked up!!!!!!

We have loads of options right across midfield so to me both can go, obviously didn't love the club that much.
Think it was more a case of loved playing with each other (in a footballing sense)

 

If he continues saying that him AND other players are going to walk then yes. He can **** off.

If he says him AND Smith, Perch and Ameobi can walk..well..I'll drive them, look for houses with them, help decorate and give them a few bob for the road!

 

It's difficult to remember which Nolan article says what ... there's a bleedin' lot of them!

he'll only rock the boat if he doesn't so get rid asap in my opinion. all of our new players coming in will be frozen out of the cliques etc. he's just gonna cause trouble so take the hit on him and move him on.
