Is it just me or are smalling, Milner and jones some of the worst defenders I have seen in an England shirt for many a year. I no they won't be in the starting lineup but they shouldn't be any where near the squad. Milner is playing out of position but surely there has to be someone else around. Maybe I'm being to harsh as it only a friendly and he giving some guys needed game time as there coming back from injuries.
Answer to your title: No. Smalling, Jones and Milner have been terrible today. Losing possession, giving away sloppy corners and giving the ball away. I am fuming about how Roy is choosing these tossers over some players that are proven to be good this season. I dont agree about jones, id play him right back, imo hes been the best defender today by a mile. I agree with you about milner and smalling
BET 365 offered 10:1 on Lambert scoring first in second half , he duly obliged. Hope it didn't hurt too much Mr. Coates. Heartening to see a couple of England/Stoke banners on display. Right back is a problem for us , Johnson - Jones , hmmmm. Oxladechamberpot did his chances no harm. Wilshere , I would not play ; he is too immersed in the Arsenal culture of " if someone comes near to you , you must fall down ". Rooney's goal should not have been allowed. I hope we don't have to rely on him for goals. Foster had my heart in my mouth on several occasions , but I still prefer him to our Jack. Luke Shaw is not as good as Baines. Yet. Much of our play tonight smelled of Arsenil , fourteen passes completed and still on the halfway line when the fifteenth is intercepted , what's the point ? Smalling is terrible so no you are not alone. Ryan is far better, but what do I know. Gawd help us when the WORLD CUP starts.

Ill put a positive spin on this, Barkley was brilliant as was the Ox, Rooney played well too, Jones would do a very good job at right back, considering Gerrard, Lallana, Baines, Hart, Sturidge, Cahill or Jagielka didnt start I thought that we did well last night and if we had scored our chances of which we had many we would have won comfortably and nobody would be taking this negative view on the game. everyone needs to Get behind our country imo (its like the Mark Hughes saga all over again) goooarrn England!
