Having been into the club shop yesterday I found myself echoing my old man to my son. Did anyone else think the new kit was made out of a horrible cheap material just like the fake ones you get on eBay or am I just a grumpy old sod, who was making any excuse not to dip into his pocket to purchase the said garment.
No, I like the shirt. The only issue is just that the sponsership deal was made so late that they've stuck the logo on a bit sort of... slap dash style. Not their fault, really. It would have been nice if the logo was sort of printed into the shirt rather than stuck on. Otherwise, the actual shirt is of good material and has lots of hoops!
IMO ALL kit has been tat since they stopped making it out of 100% cotton, sometime late 70s I think. And advertising really does not enhance them either. Nurse!
I agree that the logo looks cheep the way it's been stuck on. Also, agree about clothes not being 100% cotton. Don't like nylon much......yep...grumpy old man syndrome for sure!!
just a thought, if the sponsor has simply been stuck on, shouldn't there be a way to remove it to get the non-sponsored version everyone seems a fan of? my dad just got a non-sponsored one as he pre-ordered before a sponsor was released...jammy bastard!
I noticed the logos patches were peeling off a couple of the players tops on Sunday, so it should be pretty easy to peel off.
