Every time Vardy and King start away from home we lose, Leeds, Millwall Peterborough etc:
We needed another strong midfield player, i thought we would have got one in the window!
and can someone tell me why Pearson will not play Futics when wood was out!

We've got a strong midfield player.

His name is Matty James and it's a mystery as to why he didn't play.

Also, Knockaert should have played up front with Nugent. Two players in goalscoring form yet he played Vardy who hasn't scored for months.

Poor from Nige today i'm afraid.

Yeah, I'm not sure why James was left out. But I don't think that would have made too much difference. It's that third striker issue that troubles me, as it has since it became clear that we weren't going to sign one in Jan. We dominated shots on goal and possession away from home but lost. We shouldn't have lost.

When we have to scrap things out King and Vardy just aren't up to it. James should have started and Wellens should have played the last 20

As much as i am a Pearson fan, i think he lacks a little in the tactical department sometimes.

He could have even scraped his rigid 4-4-2 for a more combative 4-5-1 as we all knew that P'boro would scrap for everything.

The man doesn't seem to have a plan B and sems too stubborn to drop Vardy who i think we all agree isn't up to Championship football, it's too big a jump in one season for Vardy....he tries hard but so would i!!!!

I think its something at times you have to accept when you set out how we do by playing with flair players like Dyer, Knockaert, Marshall

We needed to sign some more workers like James, Wellens. We could also do with a meathead centre half like Wayne Brown did the other year to partner Wes Morgan. Maybe Zak Whitbread is that man

Pearson should have identified this game wasnt going to be pretty and we was going to need to dig in a scrap and he should have set out the team accordingly. Maybe playing the extra midfielder would have been the difference but a lightweight midfielder in King and a lightweight in Vardy was never going to be the answer today

I do not understand why away from home we dont play 5 in midfield? Why not make sure we get at least a point. We do not have a ball winner and always give the other side a chance to work hard and close us down. NP does have his favorites?

Pearson clearly had his reasons, but yes, this is a rare instance of getting his tactics wrong. Vardy had a big chance to prove himself today, as he seems to have had throughout the season, but he's just not good enough. I feel bad for saying it because he works hard for the team, but you have to have SOME quality. Let's hope this is just an anomaly, and let's get behind the team next match! We've still got a great chance, and I still think we're better than the chasing pack.

Boro have done the teams that play the best football this season. Nigel should have realised this and played ugly long ball with Futacs up top. It's obviously the gritty physical games that boro struggle against.

Totally agree with this thread and everyone's comments

Vardy not good enough yet Pearson sticking with him as he signed him and do want to look a twat that he ain't good enough, feel sorry that Waggy never got a start and do agree we should have played 4-5-1 without a doubt.

Lady Luck on our side again this weekend which does make me think it could be our year, the team we have got to be wary of is that little Serie A team from Vicarage Rd
