Can somebody please tell me if Martin O'Neils appointment is definite yet. I'm stuck out here for a month in a stinking hot **** hole called Darwin in Australia and all there is on the telly is f---ing rugby and f---ing cricket and f---ing aussie rules f---ing egg ball. Not 606 is my main contact with all things football related so as soon as it is definite can somebody please post it on here and put me out of my misery.
Hi Blind Corner. Having spent a fair bit of time myself in Darwin during cyclones when I manage to get evac'd off the oil rigs, Darwin isn't that bad. A few good pubs around. Shenanigans is a great little little Irish pub, and you have Tits Out Tuesday at Discovery down the road. Although they put a stop to Tits Out, and renamed it Tequila On Tuesdays (TOTS), there are still tits on show there. It is the nightclub at the back of the Discovery bar down the bottom. Easy to miss it, as you have to go through some double doors down the back of the bar to get to it, but it is a great place. Also, there is the Honeypot. If you need to see some tits and it isnt a tuesday. This is the place. Although i think its closed on a monday/tuesday. Also, GREAT fishing up there!
Yes haggis, I know Darwin very well myself, been coming here since the 1980's but I'm offshore so we can't get to any of the boozers, thats why I call it a stinking ****hole, anyway we'll be staying overnight when I get off and it go's without saying that there will be copious quantities of the amber liquid consumed. Can't remember the tits out bar, the Workers Club and the Vic were always my favourites. In the 80's the Darwin Workers club had the highest beer consumption per capita of anywhere in the world, what a great place, not as good as the Grindon club but good all the same.
