Why don't the press realise the constant rejections arent a matter of price, but of principle. HE IS NOT FOR SALE<grr><grr><grr><grr>

Considering what has happened under MA's ownership of our club (e.g. the Kevin Keegan saga...) can you really guarantee that Mike Ashley would say no to £35 million pounds?

Getting sick of this. I wish I didn't get banned from 606 now just so I could call Chris Bevan a prick. Why would Andy want to join that ****house for a start? And what part of £30m rejected don't people get? They seem to be under the impression that the Torres deal is holding up Carroll's transfer, but I'm pretty sure our concern wasn't with Liverpool being overladen when we rejected their bid.

35 mill, bite their hands off - it's a desperate bid as they are losing their top striker and you will never get offered that again. Not that he isn't a good player but you can get yourself a world class player in the summer for that and let's be honest you would have taken a mid-table finish at the start of the season, with over 35 mill to spend + extra in the summer you can try for Europe <ok>

I honestly dont see why he would want to leave, and i dont think he will, he has already stated in the past he only wants to play for us an that he wants to be seen in the same light as Alan Shearer is at our Beloved Newcastle United, we are vastly improving and will only get better under the current regime we have (despite Cashley being tight fisted) in a way its good because it has stopped us paying over the odds for players who come here and flop for us, the signings of HBA (very promising) Tiote (bargain of the season) Irland (massive potential) all under the age of 26 which also means they have so much to offer in terms of age, also the wage cap although many have complained has beem handled brilliantly (this does not make me like Cashley though) when players such as Barton Nolan etc are willing to take a wage cut in order to stay at this club it says a lot about the commitment of our players and to our cause

If we did sell there is no guarentee Ashley would put that £30 mill back into the club

Name me a world-class player who would want to join us, especially with our new wage cap (approx £50kpw)...

We can't attract a player of Carroll's class.
