It froze on me a couple of times earlier on and my anti-virus software, which is AVG, isn't allowing me to post on the 'Past Sell By Date' thread at all - it sends up a serious bug alert, then closes the site down completely. Very odd.

Haven't been having trouble like that, but my posts wouldn't submit earlier in the day so I kept having to copy and paste etc.

I wasn't able to scroll down the threads yesterday and the screen kept freezing, mysteriously the site keeps on deleting itself from my favourites and no other sites do that.

Relieved it's not just me, pat - on my system at work, it's gone from my favourites every day.

I haven't had the alert again today, but I've had to recover the page twice this evening.

Thanks for the information too, Rocky - I'm reluctant to change from AVG because it's so damned sharp, but I suppose that means accepting sometimes that it's going to be oversensitive. I used to run Norton, but one automatic update crashed my system so badly, I had to call in an engineer to recover it and never used it again.

That's amazing on the favourites TA, what a coincidence. Scrolling down the threads is still an issue today, perhaps too many graphic attacks

I use Kaspersky Tweaks, Norton was a right pain always wanting to get involved with stuff so I changed to AVG for a few years...OK but a bit of a reputation of having some holes so I changed to Kaspersky (@£9 from ebay). Seems a middle ground and has caught two attacks over the 2.5 years I've used it.

NEVER use 'Red Alert' we used it at work and had to remove it after 6 months as the intranet had become unuseable due to its mothering!
