Currently they are in the semi-finals of the youth cup and have achieved this without a category 1 youth set up again in direct contravention of policies of the FA. No doubt they are also behind the vitriolic challenge to Manchester City's signing of Jadon Sancho. They will not accept that they don't deserve good youth players if they are not prepared to abide by the FA's structures. As for the first team, you just have to look at the number of foreigners in their ranks. There are no players in their first team who have come through the youth ranks that are eligible to play for England. They know that England cannot succeed if youth players are not developed, which seems to be the policy of Watford's Italian owners. These foreign owners will not accept Watford's true position in the football hierarchy, unlike their previous, British, owner. It is disgraceful that these foreigners believe that Watford deserve a place in the Premier League (which is a true English success) ahead of teams that are better in every sense of the word, such as Leeds Utd, Aston Villa, Nottm Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield Utd, WBA, and Preston North End.
