We lost 6-0 yesterday and the Budgies beat Man U, but we'll probably be in the same league next season. Discuss.
Bloody hell hawky, the flock has been here all morning, now you have given them another excuse to stay...
What? I was being serious! We'll grind out a high teens finish and the Budgies will capitulate eventually. Of that I have no doubt. The Star Wars team of Delia (the emperor) and Obi Wan Fry (have you seen the beard on it?!) can't prevent their fate. The force is with us. Everyone has a couple of bad days at the office...
We've failed to get promoted for several years, but we've also failed to get relegated. Glass half empty or half full? The bizarre results recently are only so shocking because of the number of goals we let in. Goal difference becomes irrelevant IF we start getting points. If we'd have lost those games 1-0 or 2-0, I doubt there'd be this much grumpiness. So if we're going to lose, I say **** it, let's make it a spectacular loss. Let's be the team that stays up with the worst goal difference in history! It matters not if we win a few along the way. Then we can look forward to a fresh batch of Wolves cast-offs and Irish players in January and everything will be back to normal. Mid-table mediocrity may seem like a dream now, but if we reach for the stars... On an unrelated matter, my medication is good until 2014.
Oh, OK. The Budgies won against arguably the best team in England. We lost massively to, no disrespect, nobodies. IMHO we will be playing in the same league next year when, based on those two results, we are, pardon the pun, 'leagues apart'. That's irony. Sorry, should have made it clearer.
Norwich are on a good run of form I can't see them finishing below Villa, QPR, Southampton, Reading etc, they won't get relegated. And I can't see Ipswich getting promotion either.
when you have to resort to daft jokes about our board members, its safe to say your argument is doomed. you'd give your right arm to have two board members who love your club right now
I tend to agree that ITFC will have enough to stay up. Yes there have been a couple of recent hammerings but if you have a sequence of narrow victory followed by heavy defeat you'll end up in the top half averaging 1.5 points per game. I think that we happy people of God's Own Couny will also stay up although we remain vulnerable - should Holt/Tetty/Bassong get injured long-term than I think we'd have a problem plus if Town struggle they have to play the likes of Peterborough who are somewhat more forgiving than the average Premier League team (pther than QPR!!).
Now dear Mr. Hawkings which league will that be For I can´t see us coming down, So I guess that means you expect to see The Premier League in sight for Town And good as he is, old big Irish Mick It would take all his class and more, I think just to make sure that this year you stick Around on the Championship floor But I´m in no doubt that he´ll manage just that By using whatever it takes, But for you to don your Premier League hat May just take more than a few shakes.
