The thing that we have been so bad at....the transfer market over the years has actually saved us this time. January with Sam was the best we have had in such a long time. My question is who before that do you think was the best manager to get a decent transfer window? Bruce, Dennis Smith, Bob Stokoe? Seems such a long time ago now.....
Its gotta be Bruce. He was so close to having a topper team. Then in true Jawdee style he self imploded.
Maybe the lower the league you perform in the harder it is. Just thinking with Smith, Gabbadini....Stokoe with Halom, Towers but he did lose Tueart. your right with Bruce though....to have a forward line of Gyan, Bent and Welbeck....that takes some beating!
Aye, it's got to be Bruce from those options . . . . simply because the other two didn't have transfer 'windows' to judge them by (unless, of course, my memory's worse than I remember it being) I don't remember/can't imagine that any previous manager had as much of a positive bearing on our team/squad that Sam's January dealings this time have had (Donkey seems to have been a mistake, but maybe he's been good for moral)
