Either way he's not going to be our player 2011/12 season.

Plays badly - We send him back to Villa.
Plays well - Villa slap a £20m pricetag on him.

Fair point, not all loan deals are as good as the Arfa one unfortunately!

Good loan deal, this is the kind of guy we'd have signed permanently in the past, at least if he's ****e we can send him back, but the lad has an incentive to revive his career so a good deal for me.

no cos there will be a price agreed for him already, around 6 mil, so if he plays well then they have to sell him at he agreed price, like the ben arfa deal

Absolutely no guarantee of that at all, and even if there was the price would probably be more.

If they do that then fair enough, worth doing but look at Sunderland with Welbeck he's done well and now Man Utd want to keep him, if he was poor Sunderland wouldn't have wanted to sign him. Yet this is two teams who claim they want to progress and in Sunderland's case have made good progress.

Ben Arfa loves the number 10 shirt (Playmaker number 10 shirt) that's why he wanted number 55 5 + 5 =10 because Routledge took number 10 but he wasn't allowed 55 so he had number 37 3 + 7 = 10

That was Yakubu. Plus, I have a 37 Ben Arfa shirt, and I will literally kill him if he changes his number...

Doesn't phase me to not have a long term guarantee. Stay up, use the next few months to lock down the last few guys with their contract extensions, and assess what we have in the summer - especially after some of the younger lads get healthy again and show what they've got while on loan. Ireland at the very least can be solid cover in MF, especially since we can (unfortunately) count on more injuries and suspensions. I'm also a little nervous about the last steps of Benny's rehab and return to match-form anyways -- call me cynical.
