No not the place - Steven Ireland Is he actually going to play this season? If so is can Pardew really tell if he's good enough to get on a permanent deal after a few games? I personally for the right ããã (ã4m ish) we should gamble on him even if he doesn't figure this season.
Pardew will also see him in training and it seems that Ireland has been close to getting into the first team for a while now but he's not going to be risked unless he's 100% fit. As for buying him? It's up to Pardew and how he assesses him but I don't think the partying before the Stoke game will have done him any favours.
Think he will play some part in Man U game (ineligible for Villa), seeing as we're not paying him then theres no risk anyway. If he performs anything like he did at City in the last few games for us I think we'd bid for him, and I'd be happy enough with that. 5 million would be a good deal if he was back on top form, (EDIT: ) wouldnt pay more than 7mil though personally.
I hope we don't sign him, for reasons I've expressed a hundred times already. The only reason I'd want to see him in a Toon shirt is if we rushed him back from injury early so we could send Vile back an injured player.
He had a good 6 months at city when everyone noticed him but he thinks he's the dogs bollocks and I can't see him ever getting the hunger back.Shame because he's wasted his career
