Is it worth it? Some people love it for the price, heard others say it’s frustratingly unpredictable , can go off at anytime , etc
I'm in the same boat, contemplating whether to get it or not. I don't know anyone who has said anything negative, though that is only 3 people so not a mass survey. I was told that last year the server went down last year for around 3 hours when it was moved from somewhere like germany to Greece, but no buffering issues ever! I'd welcome any other opinion.
When I’ve been round at my brothers watching football , it sometimes looks like the players are running like a computer game , he has good lightstream too but it’s just obvious it’s on a stream . I also know somebody at work who says it can go off for 2-3 days due to being busted, but then it just starts up - both say they wouldn’t get rid of sky for it , but for the price you can’t complain . Trouble is I am contemplating getting instead of sky , and if I was sitting down for the world darts final and it went off I would be livid.. haha
It's well worth it, providing you have a good supplier. Obviously it can never be 100% reliable so you can get pissed off if and when it goes off
Soo... any recommendations for providers after my last one isn't renewable. Need a new one for 3 users (family). Got a couple to check out at around $38 for a year per user but nothing great presumably. Found a really good one but its a bit too much. Would use if I just needed one though.
Are people with expensive 4k OLED TVs happy watching programmes with less than HD picture quality just because it is cheap?
Very little football is broadcast in 4k unfortunately. The BBC trialled it on iPlayer for one of the recentish World Cups, 2018 I think, but for the latest Euros no one was doing it. If your point is a more general one that people using illegal streams are not getting the best experience available then yes you are right in general.
For the stoke match I eagerly tuned in to sky 4k channel Thinking wed be on in glorious 4k Instead they had ****e cricket
SKY have UHD on some channels for football, and other things. My TV does a good job of upscaling so there is not too much difference in a lot of cases.
I have a friend who uses one for everything sport/TV/films and it’s just as good as any other streaming service, in fact it’s better because it literally has everything you could imagine on it, even recent cinema releases. The UI is a copy of sky too. They really are good to be fair. It’s not like watching a dodgy stream on a random website.
Any idea what your mate uses? I need to find a new provider as my current one is ending in a couple of weeks, and the guy I got it from is no longer doing them
I do know what it is that he uses but I wouldn’t like to share it for obvious reasons. All I will say is it’s not analogue and it’s a worldwide service.
Understandable. Been looking into it, and the whole thing is very secretive, but found some good advice about a website to find some contacts, and seem to have found a good option.
