Higginbotham brought in on a months loan & left on the bench. Can anyone explain this - it can't be due to the exceptional performances of the 2 CBs so far this season
Its possibly so over the month we dont become reliant on him in the defense/ get him earning his place on his own merit not the fact that hes come from Stoke. Though saying that I would have been mildly more comfortable if he did start.
I've come to the point now where I think it's for ME to act!!! We have a decent enough team but today PJ seemed to make decisions of a desperate man and it seems inevitable he will go now and there's no leadership on the pitch as soon as we make a mistake noone takes responsibility and really steps it up, everytime something goes against us in a match like we don't take our chances or we have a poor spell in a match we just can see it out!!!
We DO NOT have a decent enough team. Stop thinking we have good players. We have a collection of cast offs and players who are not good enough for championship football. Our best players at the moment seem to be Scotland and Luongo. Who would've thought we'd be saying that?
You "think" its time for ME to act. There's no think about it. PJ is a decent bloke but is out of his depth. Time for him to go back to punditry & maybe we can get a manager in who can steady the ship & get us to mid table (never thought I'd hear myself say I'd settle for mid table after 7 games but there we go)
Funny thing is, we were better without you, Mr Chopra. Still ****, but better without you. We've been here longer than you and clearly care more than you. So stick that on Twitter. Shhh... *holds finger to lips* #hoistbyyourownpetard
I honestly do think we have a decent team with decent players. Mick Mills was again commentating on this match, he seems to talk alot of sense and when asked if he would consider the managers job at portman road, he said he put himself in that position a couple of years ago and thought I wouldn't want that job, whoever had it was going to have a very hard job on their hands but he said now he thinks if PJ goes whoever takes over would have a good group of players, admittedly it needs adding to but there is certainly a decent group of players there.
A good defender is a good defender, a bad one is a bad one Tractor bhoy. Don't think the time with the team will change that much.
Tommy Smith has been training with the team for 2/3 years - hasn't made a big difference to him. We need a leader at the back (along the lines of De Vos or Mowbrey) who can get the rest of the defence in to the correct positions
we do need a leader but I assume work is also done on tactics and working with the players around you. I assume he will be in from the start next game
