Does anyone know why I get this message on my mobile? Seems to happen on return from a trip overseas or sometimes just away when I am away from home in the UK. First time it happened I thought I'd posted something terrible in error!
Some mobile firms have porn filters where you have to opt out to see smut. This site could have somehow got on the list. The gov also wants to do this for home connections as well. Youll have to go on their register to opt out just to see legitimate sites because parents are too lazy to supervise their kids on the net.
I get the message 'the administrator has blocked your IP address ' now and again usually late in the evening On wi fi it's fine but I normally get it when using 3G signal I take it as a coded message to go to bed and stop fannying about on here!
It's normally caused by an admin blocking a particular range of address sometimes in error Ie Vodafone = 10..12 etc (long technical story) Nothing to worry about mate
No, if it's an intermittent problem it'll be to do with random allocation of IP addresses to mobile internet users by the networks. Either what was just said about random blocks of IP addresses being blocked by mistake, or someone will have been on repeatedly being a twat until they got IP blocked, when the IPs they'd used are then reissued to other people they can't get on. It's similar to why immature students doing it are a pain in the arse, nobody wants to prevent access from an entire block of a university.
