Can't remember who it was that was talking about this book the other day but a user on Reddit has been going through chapter by chapter and condensing it down for a quick and easy read. If anyone is interested here is a link to the chapters done so far!
I like the idea, but feel condensing it really takes away the nuances of how the sport developed, and doesn't let you notice the way individuals developed an ideology, and how it then spread. It feels more like a primer on tactics over time, rather than a history of the evolution of footballing philosophy.
Agreed. It's probably too condensed but it is a nice quick thing if you just want to know about how tactics have evolved.
