Inventive Sports launch QPR Player Development Centre in association with The FA « Inventive Sports Inventive Sports are very pleased to announce the launch of the first ever Premier League Player Development Centre (PDC) on Monday 10th October 2011. The PDC has been delivered in partnership with Queens Park Rangers FC, West Middlesex and Hayes League and Inventive Sports. The centre, in the heart of the Asian community, aims to re-address the current imbalance of under-represented communities in football today with particular focus on Asian players and coaches. The PDC will operate at just below club academy/centre of excellence level. Premier League professional coaches will implement a long term sustainable educational curriculum to raise standards at grassroots league level. Talented players will be given the opportunity to enter QPRâs academy. QPR coaches will also mentor young Asian coaches providing them with an opportunity become professional coaches at the Premier league clubs academy. The project has been fully endorsed by The Football Association and Queens Park Rangers Community Trust. The guests will include; 2 QPR first team players,QPR Community Trust CEO Andy Evans, distinguished guests from the FA including Hope Powell (England Womenâs coach) and Brendon Batson MBE (FA Consultant and former player). Jonathan Mills, FA Equality Co-ordinator, added: âThe Football Association is really pleased to support the launch of this initiative between the QPR Community Trust, West Middlesex and Hayes Youth League and Inventive Sportsâ Jas Jassal, who has supported this process. âThis is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters from all backgrounds to experience top drawer coaching, delivered through a Premier League Football Club which will nurture and grow their talent. âWe are also extremely pleased that the Development Centre that will deliver this training will be in a predominantly-diverse community, and we hope that this will be an incentive to see more players coming through academies and centres of excellence.â
