Good interview with Matt Targett. He apparently turned down Chelsea to stay at our Academy as he felt it would be better for him as he would have a greater chance to progress here. Also close to Luke Shaw who has advised him...hope he's not advised him to seek a move I wonder if this interview indicates a start for him tonight.

He mentions that he would have struggled to get a game if behind Shaw and Bertrand...I would suggest that if Shaw had stayed, we would not have taken Bertrand on loan. The club tries not to block the path for youngsters.

Very well put, we do seem to educate our youngsters in more than just how to play footer?

He seems to be to be of better quality, if not athleticism to Shaw. There were many reports that he wasn't ready last season but he looks to me like he could have been a first team player this season if we hadn't brought in such a good player ahead of him.
